 EVERY THING IS F*CKED

A BOOK ABOUT HOPE

AUTHOR: MARK MANSON.

As it's written on the cover page A BOOK ABOUT HOPE,but it's something different actually there are many stories written under various subtitles about worlds great businessmen, philosophers their live stories how they became successful or what are there quotes that affect our psyche, the world politics ,how its changing ,the climate change that has severe affect ,the wide scale nuclear war and the artificial intelligence these are  threats to humanity.

The author writes about creation of religions,  the first step is of creating hope  as a youngster who feels sick about the things happening with him he might blame his elders but then it's said to him no it's all the systems fault ,this is the faith LaRouche youth movement was sharing if we could throw the system then every thing would be okay . We need to feel there's a better future (values) fell as though we are capable of getting to that better future(self control), and we need to find other people who share our values and support our efforts (community).  The second step to chose faith that give a high value as the gods value, give sacrifices for that ,praise that values all Hope's are based on faith for that author has defined three types of religions :spiritual religion that draws hope from supernatural beliefs,Ideological religion that draws hope from the naturalworld,Interpersonal religion that draws hope from other people in our lives . Finding a way to protect the faith from inevitable criticism that is creating a perception of us verses then in such a way that if anyone criticizes or questions us immediately becomes a them as anyone who criticizes the president is a traitor. Step four to set up a ritual to sacrifice . Step five  to promise heaven and deliver hell as you promise your followers salvation, enlightenment, world peace, perfect happiness or whatever they will fail to live up to that promise and the more they blame themselves ,feel guilty ,the more they will do whatever you tell them to do to make up for it. Step 6 prophet for profit as now you can take advantages of the followers of religion.

The author has given the formula of humanity how a child learns by trial and error process knows what's good and what's bad ,the child then prefers those which give him the pleasure . The adolescent does the same but with some principles to follow. The adult has only unlimited principles to follow not knowing the end of it. The author writes about pain how we try to avoid a immense pain by getting a small pain or how we avoid pain for some times by distracting ourselves to short lived pleasures. He also tells us about the business as it was called unethical if women smoke this gave a huge loss to the tobacco companies as half of the population won't smoke ,for that they used the label of freedom and feminism, portrayed the women as feminist and strong in ads who smoke, advertise smoking for women as a symbol of free women that's how the women smoking become normal and tobacco companies boosts up its economy. It's the author explaining how the businessmen plays with emotion of people and make alot of money. Freud, the first modern thinker to argue that it was the feeling brain that was really driving the consciousness car. Freud believed that people insecurities and shame drove them to make bad decisions,  to overindulge or to compensate for what they felt they lacked. As the makeup industry became so successful due to insecurities of women.

The author also explained newton's laws of emotions as: his pain was inversely proportional to the distance squared he put between himself and the world. Therefore, he kept to himself staying in ones orbit, spinning out and away from gravitational tug of any other human heart. He concluded that the world was a bleak, wretched place and that only value to this pathetic life was his ability to document and calculate that wretchedness . Isaac didn't lack ambition but was  in search of trajectory of men's heart, the velocity of their pain, force of their values , the mass of their Hope's and the relationships among all these elements. He decided to write Newtons Three Laws of Emotions. Newtons first law of emotion is that For every action, there is an equal and opposite emotional reaction. The second law states that Our self worth equals the sum of our emotions over time. The third law states that Your identity will stay your identity until a new experience acts against it.Mark Manson explained all these laws very well. The book also enlightens the hope it's written as to generate hopes in our lives ,we must first feel as though we have control over our lives . We must feel as though we are following through on what we know is good and right, that we are chasing after something better.   The author describes our brain in a frantic way that the reader enjoys while reading it he explains about the clown car the conscious car in which your feeling brain is like a verbally abusive boyfriend who refuses to pull over and ask for directions he hates being told where to go and he will absolutely make you miserable if you question his driving. In order to maintain a sense of hope ,the Thinking brain develops a tendency to draw maps explaining or justifying where the feeling brain has already decided it wants to go. Then an open letter to your thinking brain makes it more interesting to read the author explains the feeling brain and thinking brain collaboration that thinking brain may not have self control but it has a meaning control it can control the meaning of impulse and feeling, its extremely powerful because it's the meaning that we ascribe to our feeling that can often alter how the feeling brain reacts to them this is how hope is produced that you produce a sense that your future can be fruitful and pleasant by interpreting the shit the feeling brain slings at you in a profound and useful way. Instead of justifying and enslaving yourself to the impulse, challenges them and analyzed them, change their character and their shape. Whereas the feeling brain  gives different emotions. The author also writes that what people don't get is that the opposite of happiness is not anger or sadness. If you are angry or sad ,that means you still give a f*ck about something. That means something still matters . That means you still have hope.

In last the author tells a truth that  the readers might read this book in search of some hope ,do this or that and the other thing, and everything will improve  or read other books too for it but instead of looking for hope try not to hope ,don't despair either . In fact don't deign to believe you know anything. It's that assumption of knowing with such blind ,fervent, emotional certainty that gets us into these kinds of pickles in the first place. Don't hope for better ,just be better be more compassionate ,more resilient, more humble ,more disciplined ,just be a better human. In conclusion I would say it was a magnetic and appealing book to be read..
